We did it AGAIN, you guys! We made it to the end of another week! Victory lap! High-fives all around! To celebrate, let’s go jet-setting again! IN OUR MINDS!!

We’re off to record this week’s podcast, so we’ll be brief. Please take a look at today’s Painstakingly Curated Menu of Frivolities to see if anything catches your eye, if only for a minute or two. After all, isn’t that what frivolities are for?

“Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert”
NBC Proudly Presents an Encore Presentation of the Critically Acclaimed and Emmy Award-winning Musical Event “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert,” Airing Easter Sunday, April 12 (7:00-9:30 p.m. ET/PT).
This exuberant concert staging of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic rock musical stars John Legend as Jesus Christ, Sara Bareilles as Mary Magdalene, Brandon Victor Dixon as Judas, Alice Cooper as King Herod, Ben Daniels as Pontius Pilate, Norm Lewis as Caiaphas, Jin Ha as Annas, Jason Tam as Peter and Erik Gronwall as Simon Zealotes.
Set during the final week of Jesus’ life, the story is told from the perspective of infamous betrayer Judas Iscariot. As more and more followers flock to Jesus, Judas grows concerned that Jesus is becoming arrogant and losing sight of his principles. So when Jesus attacks the money changers in a temple, Judas finally turns on his teacher, setting both on a path to tragedy. Originally conceived as a concept album that hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts, the show eventually made its way to the stage in 1971 and garnered five Tony nominations in addition to winning a Drama Desk Award for Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Sweating to the Oldies. Or Sitting?
An array of workout videos from over the decades that you can enjoy even from (maybe especially from) the comfort of your couch.
Most of our workouts are at home now. Which is why it’s an ideal time to get lost in the wild world of the vintage exercise video. Beyond just titans of the genre like Jane Fonda (now leg lifting on TikTok) and Richard Simmons, there were so many celebrity or just sort of celebrity-ish workout videos in the 1980s and 1990s that going through them is a real tour of the era.

In other news, we —

Hunh. Turns out, there is no other news. Enjoy these kittens!
