Good God, it’s Gaelic gals in green gowns!
It’s Saint Patrick’s Day in the time of Corona, which means it makes perfect sense for us, in this red carpet-free new world, to reach far back into our archives, come up with a theme (which was the easiest part), and give you kittens something fashion-based to argue over for the next five minutes. Today, it’s Irish girls, wearin’ the green. Your job is to determine the winner in this no-holds-barred style throwdown.

Miss Saoirse has a tendency to go for some mighty goofy fashion, especially when she’s doing the Oscars poledance. But she also has a tendency to lightly sprinkle her wardrobe WTFery with simple, classic, nearly minimalist looks. The results always comes off fresh and surprising, and no look served her better than this emerald green CK gown, the year she was up for an Oscar for Brooklyn. The color looks stunning on her and the dress is exquisitely fitted to her. The mismatched earrings give it just a little modernity and cheekiness to keep it from look too classic.

And in THIS corner, an Irish lass who never met a hard-to-wear dress she didn’t immediately try on. Girlfriend LOVES herself a goofy little Prada or Miu Miu or Gucci whenever she gets her hands on one. Minimalism? Not her thing. She likes bold color combinations and unusual embellishments, usually matched up with a fairly conservative style and shape of dress. This gal in a green gown is offering you a completely different take from Saoirse’s coolly sexy CK minimalist glam. Her take is always going to be the more challenging, more interesting, more stylish take in our eyes, but there’s no denying that both of these colleens in green are slaying it.
