Miss Tay’s got her first big-ass movie coming out and while we’re likely to stay as far away from that particular viewing experience as humanly possible, we’re happy for her at what must be a very exciting time for her.
Also, she was recently crowned Miss Fabric Sample 2019 by the Association of Fabric Retailers, so further congratulations are in order.
Oof. We don’t like it, kittens. A dress like this – practically devoid of any notable design details – is always all about the fabric. And this fabric? Meh. It looks incredibly dated and more than a little upholstery-like. The one detail of note – the reverse effect – is … not actually very pretty, to our eyes. It’s distracting and muddy as a visual element.
The whole look, we’re sorry to say, is blandly disappointing. We certainly weren’t expecting Tilda or Lupita levels of fashion, but we were kind of hoping she’d take this promo tour and really run with it on the style front.
