Kittens, this was such a strong week of red carpetry that we not only have a relatively small serving of leftovers, but a lot of them happen to be very good leftovers. Well done, stylists and celebs. We’re still gonna judge you, though.
Daniel Craig
This is all fine, we suppose. When he poledances for Bond, the suits suddenly get a lot smaller. The hilarious part is that this is an event where he’s supposed to be modeling that watch.
Dwayne Johnson (in Dolce&Gabbana) Karen Gillan (in David Koma), Jack Black and Kevin Hart
Karen looks fabulous, Jack is doing almost everything we’ve been saying he should do, and Kevin’s look is well-fitted and perfectly proportionate. We have no idea why or how The Rock found himself drowning in bad DadStyle, but let’s all move past this quickly and never refer to it again, yes?
Ella Balinska in Miu Miu
Pretty and hard to argue with. We’d have loved an ice-blue pump.
Julianne Hough in Magda Butrym
So many dresses lately look like bad fabric choices being camouflauged by big trains or flounces or bows. She looks great in purple, though.
Kate Beckinsale in Yanina Couture
She looks like a magician’s assistant letting a flock of doves fly out of her dress.
Laura Dern in Ermanno Scervino
Yikes. The whole bottom half of this look is horrible.
Lea Michele
Miss Girl has been SLEIGHING it lately. GET IT HAHA WE’RE DEAD INSIDE AND FEEL NOTHING
But for real, she’s been crushing it on the style front lately. Kudos.
Lily James in Alessandra Rich
That looks pretty damn sharp on her.
Marion Cotillard in Chanel
Frumpy dress, hideous shoes. Mademoiselle Marion, this is not how we wish to see Chanel represented.
Marion Cotillard in Chanel
Much better.
Penélope Cruz in Chanel
Oof. Chanel really is having a post-Karl identity crisis right now, isn’t it?
Priyanka Chopra in Salvatore Ferragamo
We think the high-collar and voluminous sleeve don’t work well with one sleeve missing. The shape of the bodice is thrown way off by it.
Priyanka Chopra in Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla
This, on the other hand, is flawlessly gorgeous.
Tilda Swinton in Loewe
She looks like a Victorian child who just stumbled upon Santa in her family parlour. We say that with the utmost admiration. It’s so ridiculous that we think we kind of love it.
