At first glance, we figured this to be a smart, simple look for a sit-down chat on TV. Upon closer inspection, it turns out it’s a questionable look being saved by the one styling choice of Miss Amanda’s we tend to bitch about most frequently.
Namely: that blouse is actually kind of hideous, but because she tends to wear her hair forward all the time (even when the outfit truly doesn’t call for it), it’s not nearly as noticeable. We went from “Look at Miss Thing, all comfortable and low-key” to “BLACK LACE AND GOLD LAMÉ WITH A PINK LACE RUFFLE GET THIS ABOMINATION AWAY FROM OUR EYES IMMEDIATELY.” It’s amazing what some well-placed tresses can do.
And now, having effectively and non-pretentiously (we’re presuming) used the word “tresses” in a sentence, we are off to find a donut or something to celebrate.
