This whole jawn is, we are stating right now, well outside our wheelhouse. It’s not that we don’t feel we can express thoughts about various makeup and hair choices, but we’ve always made it clear over the years that fashion was our main area of interest. There are technical, cultural and personal aspects to hair and makeup with which we have have no experience and only a small knowledge base from which to draw upon. More often than not, we’ll talk about makeup and hair in terms of how well they integrate with or enhance the fashion on display, rather than any sort of technical critique on its own merits.
HAVING SAID ALL THAT.
Good Lord, no. Is this a trend or a mistake? Someone tell us. We’re not up on these things.
Dress: cute. Shoes: tragically bland. You can’t put on a ModCloth frock and a pair of Cathy Cambridge shoes and then go all ABBA with your eye makeup. None of it makes any sense.
