Friday Leftovers for the Week of May 12th, 2019

Posted on May 17, 2019

Darlings, let’s send all these nearly-forgotten looks off with a cheer or a jeer, shall we? It’s Friday and Happy Hour is calling.

Anjelica Huston

It’s got this sort of “Spooky Grandma/Coven Queen” vibe that could NOT be more perfect for her.

Bebe Rexha

Sure. Okay.

Bryce Dallas Howard

We’re always a bit hard on her style choices, and while we’re not a hundred percent feeling this particular style of dress for her, we can’t deny that it’s cute and the colors look great on her.

Camila Mendes in Prabal Gurung

Take away the shoulder fans and it’s a breezy-chic high summer look.

Cardi B in Fashion Nova X Cardi B

This all looks exhausting.

Cobie Smulders in Vivetta

So amazingly tacky it looks like it should be hanging in a plastic bag in a CVS Halloween aisle.

Gabrielle Union in Cong Tri

Star Trek Fashion.

Helena Bonham Carter

She’s loosened up a bit on her longstanding “Edwardian streetwalker” drag, which is probably a good thing. On the other hand, we’re not sure this is quite the way to go.

Jameela Jamil

Cute. It took us a minute but we think we like the hem length/clunky shoe combo from a proportional perspective.

Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles

Jared always dressed to play down his looks but Jensen’s kinda killing it here.

Jennifer Connelly in Louis Vuitton

This is almost alarmingly conservative. Jennifer? Are you in there?

Judith Light

She can usually make anything work, but this schmatta is beyond even her serving skills.

Lucy Hale in Giambattista Valli

She’s promoting her new Katy Keene series which means super-twee fashion-doll looks are on point, even if we think they’re a bit much.

Mj Rodriguez in Stella McCartney

Trust her to make a Stella look this good. Those boots were a killer idea.

Ruby Rose in MISBHV

She’s serving Minimalist Queer Chic and it’s really working for her.

Storm Reid

Cute, but we wish there was something breaking up all the white.

Taraji P. Henson in Nanushka

Sure. Okay.

We never think these big leather dresses seem like they’re worth the effort, though.

Will Smith

A perfect blend of Aladdin-appropriate and his own DadStyle. It’s a great look. The footwear’s unforch, though.
