Kittens! Don’t tell us you imagined this going any other way! This was an epic showdown DAYS in the making! Femme Fatale vs. Papal Warrior! Princess vs. Knight! Ingenue vs Master! Conventional vs. Edgy! Can you even STAND it?
Lo’s Defense: A perfect blend of classic Hollywood glamour and her own preferences for princessy fashion. It’s girly and frothy, but also sophisticated and formidable, flowy and formal. It really hits all the best parts of her style AND it’s dramatic as hell. A truly unforgettable look. Might even be one of my favorite Elle Fanning looks ever.
T’s Defense: It’s weird. It’s hard. It’s striking. But it’s also glamorous, beautifully draped, and subtly chic. It checks off all the Tilda boxes, which makes it one of the most interesting looks of the year. I get the sense she’s moving away from her edgier tendencies in fashion, so this felt like a rare sighting in the wild. I hope that’s not true, but it’s comforting to know she can still pull of these alien cult leader styles when she wants to.
There you have it! The princess and the pope! The siren and the alien! The thing and the other thing! Which one’s it gonna be, hotshot?
