This generation’s dancing sweethearts came out to flog their wares. Let’s see how they did.
It’s nice to see Michelle mixing things up and getting away from her edgy-twee style. We’re not really feeling the pale non-color, but the beading is nice and the interesting shape of the skirt and neckline keep it from being generic or un-notable. She looks unfussed and pretty. As for him, it’s fine. Everything seems to be of fine quality and well-fitted to him. It’s just dull is all. A little color or pattern anywhere in this look would have improved it tremendously. And the buzz cut is not his friend.
We’ve been drooling over this one from the moment it was announced and the trailer makes it look amazing. Unfortunately, the early buzz is not good. We’ll have thoughts about it in this week’s podcast, but we’re fully prepared to declare it homophobia if this does not live up to our expectations.
