“Isn’t It Romantic” Los Angeles Premiere Red Carpet Rundown

RESPECT, kittens. Everybody on this red carpet went all-in on Valentines Day fashion for the premiere of this one. We haven’t seen a level of red carpet coordination this high since the Black Panther team put their heels down on it. Which probably serves as a sign that our prediction was true: the Black Panther promo tour was a red carpet game changer. Ensemble casts are getting better and better at keeping it tight.

And speaking of tight, his suit’s right on the line. We won’t say it’s out of style to wear a plaid skinny suit, but it’s certainly not a fresh or trending style. Having said that, the colors are really nice. Having said THAT, a polo shirt with a suit is a skosh douchey, if you ask us.

Interesting thing to us about Anna: she’s got the January Jones-like look of an ingenue, but she’s never shown a real interest in utilizing the red carpet to sell that image. She’s extremely low-key and unfussy in her style. This is sounding very backhanded, as if we think she looks horrible, but we’re just saying that this is kind of a nothing showing in a long line of them.

This is gorgeous. And we say this as two queens tired of plunging necklines and not at all in love with shades of peachy pinks. But to bring a super-fussy term into it, her decollétage is flawless and we’re so happy to see that the plunging neckline has brought pendants and statement neck pieces back in style.

She looks lovely but the dress is too busy and fussy. It looks like a pile of laundry.

Miley Cyrus in Valentino

This is the height of stand-by-your-man red carpetry. Liam’s been feeling unwell it seems and spent a few days in the hospital, so Miley stepped her game up about as far as it could go to make sure he was represented. It’s about as fussy as a look could possibly get but she can handle it and it’s the right time for showing up looking like a pile of roses.

He’s so tightly clamped on to her that we can barely get a good look at her dress. Fortunately, it’s really loud and hard to miss. We could quibble with things like proportions or clashing colors here, but that would be missing the point of a Westwood. It’s not our favorite dress in the world, but respect to her for picking something with a little edge.

He’s a mess.

Absolutely 100 percent, without a doubt, hands-down her very best red carpet look of all time. Brava, lady. You look stunning and you KNOW you do. Spectacular fit, shape and color, with just the right level of romance for someone like her. She has an ironic and sarcastic undertone to her personality that would have her looking silly in some exploding confection of a dress. WERQ this, woman. It’s flawless.
