It’s been a long-ass week for us, kittens. And this being the longest month of the year (psychologically speaking), we bet it was for you too. So put your judgin’ pants on and let’s tear through this bunch, yes? YES!
Aidan Turner
We can’t tell if we think the outfit is legitimately cute on him or if it’s just us reacting to him being all cute.
Amanda Seyfried in Fendi
Not the best posing situation, but that looks like a pretty great dress for her.
D’Arcy Carden
It’s okay. Except for the slit, it comes off a little churchy.
Dua Lipa in Prada
It’s over the top, but that’s just right for her. The shoes are awful, though.
Emily Mortimer
Seems like a pretty low-key event. The dress has color and shine to it, which makes it good for pictures, but it’s workmanlike and low-key in style, which makes it right for her.
Emma Roberts in Fendi
Cute excelt for the beige color. The shoes are not cute at all.
Eva Longoria in PREM
Oh girl, no. How are those not irritating as hell while you’re walking? Or sitting? Or doing anything?
Halsey in Tom Ford
It’s all kind of a cliche, but it’s a cliche for which she’s perfectly suited.
Joe Alwyn in Tom Ford
We kind of hate him for it, but he’s making Hipster Captain Kirk work.
Juliette Binoche in Azzaro
We hate public pajamas, but if they’re velvet, sparkly AND have a ridiculous silhouette, we can get on board.
Lake Bell in Cushnie
She looks like an Olympic skier from a tropical country.
Michelle Rodriguez in A.L.C.
Hmph. She said a very dumb thing this week (outlined in our podcast), but we have to hand it to her: this is all really cute.
Penélope Cruz in Chanel Couture
Love this for her. It’s just a little bit outside her somewhat standard red carpet style, with a sharpness to it that looks great on her without getting too fussy.
Rita Ora
Just stopping by after her sister’s wedding.
Rosa Salazar in Elie Saab
Honey, that is entirely too much dress design with entirely too little payoff.
Taraji P. Henson
We’re all for a less dressy look for the red carpet, but this is a really odd choice for the premiere of your own movie. Those pants are terrible.
Yalitza Aparicio in Roland Mouret
Ooooh, Roland let her down. This is the first time we’ve seen her wear a dress to an industry event that we don’t much like.
Zazie Beetz
Honestly? If you cut off the train, we think this would work really well for her.
Zoe Kazan in Valentino Couture
Goodness, we’re starting to hit the wall on the New Primness. We’re all for modesty and coverage in fashion, but she looks like she’s wearing a Hallmark store in dress form. Despite our distaste for the style, we have to admit, she’s well suited for this dress and the colors are pretty.
