Two champions of the venue face off against each other in surprising choices! Two ladies who love themselves a bold, highly photogenic look! Two stars taking the kind of approach you’d figure the other one would! The critically lauded actress went Tacky Glam and the meat-dress wearing pop star served Eleganza! Who could’ve figured?

Lo’s Pick: Sarah Paulson in Prada at the “Glass” London Premiere

Lo’s Defense:  As we said the first time, it’s loud and bold at a time and place where it served her well to be those things. It’s also really fun, combining high-fashion motifs with eye-searing colors and street culture aesthetics. If there’s such a thing as a badass gown, this is it.

T’s Pick: Lady Gaga in Valentino Couture at the Golden Globe Awards

T’s Defense: It’s grandiose in a way that could arguably be called obnoxious in this setting, but it’s so perfectly on-brand for her and her sense of theatricality and drag-like artifice. The spray-on hair color was the perfect Gaga touch. As a fashion moment and as a PR moment, this can’t be beat.

Two Titans of fashion! Two touch choices! Lots of exclamation points!!
