The Duchess of Sussex visits Mayhew, “an animal welfare charity working to improve life for dogs, cats and the people in our community – at our home in London and internationally.”
Listen, folks are lauding her for wearing an H&M dress for keeping it real or not getting too uppity or whatever. But as the herders of what seem like several dozen cats at a time (3), all we could think was that it was just damn smart of her to pick an OTR dress for visiting an animal facility. Humility or thriftiness or whatever aside, it’s just good common sense to not wear your Givenchy while your playing with cats and dogs.
Of course that didn’t stop her from topping it off with an Armani coat. Girlfriend’s gotta have her fine outerwear.
Despite our neverending whining about her fear of color, we’re not really gonna rail against this one. Why? Because it’s actually a very well-curated neutral outfit. The shades are just barely off from each other in all the pieces, giving it a cool, tone-on-tone feel. It’s also got just a skosh more style than her average neutralwear. The skirt is short, the coat is fine and the slingbacks are gorgeous. It just works.
