They just keep getting better and better. At this rate, they’re going to show up at the Oscars in the most stunning red carpet drag you’ve ever seen.

And it’s savvy, because we all know there’s a sequel coming, which means every one of these ladies understand they’re still doing the work of promoting their franchise. It’s the fashion equivalent of Chris Evans working out obsessively and denying himself carbs for years at a time so he can collect those Captain America checks.

We truly hate that neckline, but once we got over it, we realized there were literally no other complaints or criticisms to be had. The color’s a bit unusual but that works in her favor. She looks more and more like a major movie star every time she steps out.

WERQ. This may honestly be a Personal Best for her. And sending out these sorts of sleek, unexpected gowns may just be Marchesa’s route back to respectability.

She loves herself a shimmering Champagne or pale pink gown, but every time, we find ourselves wishing for a more declarative color. Still, we can’t say she looks bad. The shoulder detail makes for a nice effect up near the face and she’s well styled.

LOVE. There was a concerted effort by most of the attendees to eschew color completely, making this a bolder than normal choice. We’re kind of over vivid black-backed florals, but the volume and drama of this – not to mention her world-class ability to work it – make for a great, high-fashion red carpet moment on a night when many played things extremely safe.
