We really like the dress. It has a gothy formality and a low-key unfussy quality, both of which suit her. We think the hair and the makeup aren’t up to it, though. And this is a dress that begs for an obnoxious piece of statement jewelry.

Love the dress, bag, jewelry and makeup. She’s disco-fab and we’re feeling it. The sheer black hose are an interesting choice, but we don’t think we can accept them paired with ankle-strap, open-toe platforms.

Based on this and her Golden Globes dress, we’d say Miss Michelle is going through a leather top/floaty skirt phase. Unlike her GG look, which struck us as unbalanced and disproportionate, this look is just about perfect on her. The booties aren’t quite working for us. For one, they look huge.
