Miss Diana Ross has decided to become your Holiday Diva this year and we couldn’t be happier at the news of this development. After wowing us all with her snowy white chicness at the Macy’s Day Parade, she’s ditched the fam and taken the spotlight for herself (the only right and true position for it, if you ask us) in order to light the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center in New York. And to no one’s surprise at all, she seemed blissfully unbothered by the cold while dressed to diva perfection:
That’s like the textbook illustration of “Joy” right there. Proof that you couldn’t have found a better diva to ring in the season.
We’re weirdly thrilled she chose that blue instead of a green. As much as we love the ol’ red-and-green yuletide combo, in recent years, it’s become almost oppressively mandatory for any Christmas promotion. Give us the days when pink-and-silver was as much a de rigeur Christmas color combo (Victorian to roughly mid-20thC) as the overplayed R & G one.
