Viola and Michelle kept things pretty simple and sleek for this one, which we’d normally consider cause for huzzahs, since “simple and sleek” has always been the best style for the both of them. Whenever either of them shoot for anything fussy, it goes badly for them. You’d think we’d be happy to see them hit a red carpet in minimalist body-hugging dresses to best showcase themselves and allow them to walk that gauntlet with confidence.
But are we wrong for thinking these two frocks let their wearers down?
Girl, yank that other sleeve the hell off right now and you might be able to save this. Even then, we’d find it hard to love the shiny finish or the poor fit. It’s just a bad dress, period. And we don’t think that tomato-y red is the best shade for her.
This one is a little better in that it fits well and flatters her. Still, we really hate the design of the bodice. The little capelet effect is very 1930s starlet, which works fairly well for her. But the exposed sides and risk of underboob if she much as bends an elbow or shrugs took a classic Hollywood sort of design and rendered it pretty tacky.
