Once again, Miss Sarah stepped out in something edgy and challenging and severe, which naturally compels us to praise her efforts because the celebrity red carpet can be so conventional and samey-same all the time. Except we don’t think we can do it this time.
Yeah, no. That’s just plain awful. Different, sure. Head-turning in its own way, of course. Does it challenge our notions of attractiveness and demureness in feminine presentation? Yes. Is it unlike pretty much anything else seen on this event’s red carpet – or possibly any other recent red carpet? Yes and yes. On paper, this look should be the kind of thing we’d praise to the heavens just for being so different and unexpected.
Unfortunately, it’s also ugly and awkward. That fringed top is a hate crime, kittens.
