Darlings! Megs and Harry have done and worn so many things since last we spoke! Best to just table the small talk for now and get straight into the judging, don’t you think?
In Scalan Theodore and Outland at the Invictus Games Wheelchair Basketball Finals
Adorable. And she appears to have entered the red portion of her wardrobe rotation. We hope it lasts a good long while because as far as we’re concerned, she should be carving this one out as her signature color in the fam. She looks fantastic in it. It’s funny how she tended to avoid belts before she was pregnant but now half her outfits have them.
In Antonio Berardi at The Invictus Games Closing Ceremony
It’s okay. On the one hand, it’s pretty sleek and sporty, as far as Windsor style goes. On the other hand, it’s not particularly stage-friendly. The color recedes and the minimalism doesn’t pop. And we don’t think the shoes are quite right for it.
In Hugo Boss departing Australia
See what we mean about her in a deep red? It looks amazing. Simple dress, but the color and sweep of the skirt make it perfect for her. And this time, the shoes seem to work – although the color wouldn’t have been our rec.
In Karen Walker and Asos arriving in New Zealand
A smart, sharp coat over a generic dress. It’s a good traveling look and it takes a good picture. She’s working a sort of updated version of basic Royal drag, crossing it with an American socialite undertone. Our only quibble here is that this would have photographed better in a richer color. But that’s always our quibble with her, isn’t it?
In Gabriela Hearst at a Reception by the Governor General in Wellington
This is when minimalism works best for her: when it’s given one or two details that read as dramatic. The shape of the skirt and those little shoulder caps give this just enough sass to be stylish as well as elegant.
More Megs to come, because this gal just can’t stop changing outfits!
