Kittens, do you promise you won’t laugh? DO YOU PROMISE?
You promised! Stop laughing at him!
Okay, fine. We, for our parts, love that he’s ballsy enough to dress this way for the red carpet. The number of celebrity men defaulting to business suits every day is starting to reach epic proportions. Celeb men are being called on to model high fashion during their promo tours with an increasing frequency and intensity; something a lot of them are unused to or unsure of how to proceed. Like the many ladystars who default to basic LBDs half the time, celebrity men have been conditioned to dress like their lawyers for any dressy or semi-formal events they attend. This is why we fall all over the Ramis and the Chadwicks and the Robs out there; for showing that there are alternatives to traditional men’s suiting and as performers and artists, it behooves them to give those styles a look and a consideration now and then. Movie stars need to make an impact as part of their job and we can’t think of anything with less impact on a red carpet than a blue suit and white shirt. Give us this kind of modernity and we’ll applaud it every time.
