Queen Mary J., we love you and we understand why you could fall in love with this dress, but it doesn’t love you like we do.
Don’t feel bad, Queen Mary J. (as if anything we say could possibly have an effect on a diva’s mood), for this is an FMO dress. For Models Only. It looks great for 90 seconds on a runway worn by a professional dress-wearer, but any real-world activities, such as standing, sitting, or moving much at all for any length of time, let alone things like eating, drinking and using the ladies facilities – this frock ain’t built for any of it. You can’t even take deep breaths or raise your arms without the whole effect getting ruined. And divas don’t have time to worry about such nonsense. We get it. It’s a gorgeous color and the netting element is pretty eye-catching. But the restrictive bodice and unflattering bust coupled with the unholy idea of sporting netting over one’s bare stomach combines for a look that no woman, not even a queen diva, could make work for herself.
