Turns out the solution to Miss Keira’s problematic string of fussy/weird Chanel looks was to simply stop wearing Chanel for one night.
Taking this dress on its own, it’s gorgeous. The style is basic and retro, but the color story – especially that pop of chartreuse – makes it feel fresh. Unfortunately, it’s a little hard to take the dress on its own when so many other factors are fighting it or not supporting it. First up: the …lining? Body suit? Shapewear? Whatever it is she’s got on to keep her bits covered, it’s hella distracting; like she’s trying the dress on over a white romper. Second: the shoes. They’re nice, but the style is wrong for the dress and the silver looks tacky against the silver-blue of the dress. A pump or more delicate sandal would’ve been our choice, even if it does send the look in a slightly less modern direction. And then there’s the stringy post-workout hair, which is kind of awful.
Miss Keira, it’s a good thing to get away from the Chanel and into pieces that look great on you, but you’ve gotta style them better than this.
