Keira Knightley Dresses for the Scrolldown in Chanel Couture at the “Colette” UK Premiere

Posted on October 12, 2018

We should warn you right now. If you’ve only seen as much of the outfit as you can see in the above shot, the scrolldown is likely to be very disappointing for you. Confusing, at the very least.

We suppose if Karl Lagerfeld insists that floaty white skirt goes with that heavy-ass beaded sweatshirt, we must recalibrate our fashion settings with this new information. But every instinct – not to mention our own eyes – tells us this a design fail. It’s not just the difference in texture and weight that makes it seem like she’s wearing a hoodie over her wedding gown, it’s the whiteness that’s so jarring. We keep picturing this exact dress with the skirt in a matching gray and it would seem most of our problems with it go away.
