Kittens, lets wrap this stressful-af week up with a little light judgment and totally unasked-for constructive criticism, shall we? It’s good for the soul.
Amandla Stenberg in Christopher Kane
It’s fun and we love their hair, but the dress strikes us as a bit overdesigned and the makeup is a little distracting.
Miss Lady could work this look in her sleep – and may even have done so at times, considering how often she does so. We can’t argue with the results, although we wish the pants were hemmed a little better.
She tends to like this sort of retro style, but its resurgence is over and it’s back to looking dated again. Plus the shoes do nothing for it. And the bust is too tight.
Not even you can make peach moon boots work, sir. Come on, Common.
It’s fine. Gets the job done. We won’t be bitches about it.
Elisabeth Moss in Christian Dior
We don’t know what it is lately, but suddenly all her dresses look very busty. Nothing wrong with centering the girls for a look, but there’s something a little disproportionate about it. And silver’s not the best metallic for her.
Sharp. No complaints here.
It’s really hard to make a polo shirt work with a suit, but if you’re gonna make the attempt, pick some interesting colors. This is dull and aging.
Jenny Slate in Altuzarra
Most of the time, her red carpet looks are very presentable, as she is here, but also totally forgettable. Girlfriend needs some better advice.
The Hamm is wearing his suits a little snug lately. Since we can detect no swelling of the Hamm belly, we suspect The Hamm is getting a little middle-aged swole. We have no complaints, but The Hamm needs to let his Hamm Chest breathe a little.
Juliette Lewis in Miu Miu
Love her and love how chic this is on her.
Why, Miss Maggie. Look at you, all polished and on trend. We love this. We just wish it had a little color to it.
Please send this picture to Ryan Gosling because this is how you wear a (semi) boldly colored suit with a wild print shirt and not come off like a background player in Boogie Nights. Hey, boo. You look fantastic.
Olga Kurylenko in Attico
Sheena Easton at the Grammys circa 1987.
What an inexplicably hideous dress. We can’t imagine why any would choose to wear a color that ugly rendered in a dress that wrinkled and distracting.
Zoe Kazan in Erdem
We’ve reached the Zoe section so we’re nearly done, darlings! Here’s a perfect example of why we urge certain stars to wear rich colors. The print’s a little mumsy but this still looks amazing on her, especially when you look at what happens when you strip all the color out of her look:
Zoe Kazan in Valentino
Similar shape and style, TOTALLY different feel. We don’t mind the neutral color so much, because her lip color and the sash do a lot to provide contrast and pop, but those Betsy Ross sleeves have GOT to go.
