Golly (they said uncharacteristically). This is bold, bright, declarative as hell. All the things we routinely beg for in red carpet fashion choices. And yet…
We don’t know, you guys…
Literally. We don’t know. Is this good? Is this not good? It’s a stunning color, but an infamously difficult one to pull off and she does not fall in the coloring range of folks normally considered right for it. We think (?) she’s a good fit for the soignee sort of 1930s silver screen siren style it embodies, but we’re not at all sure about some of the details. The complicated back and the cutout at the waist are both questionable. And finally, there’s the styling. We’re not sure about the lip color but we have to admit we’re pretty charmed by the hair. If anything, that sweet little 1930s ingenue style may actually wind up saving the whole look. If it can be considered saved, that is. You tell us.
