We go back and forth on this one, so we’re turning it over to you guys. We will, of course, be expressing opinions. Just not conclusions.
It’s kind of appealing at first glance. The black, gold and silver combo does wonderful things for her, as does the relative busy-ness of the design. She’s someone who benefits from ramping up things like prints and bold textiles in order to stand out on a red carpet. But we’re not convinced on the design of this dress, which is merely a bunch of repeating panels, like high-end sequined granny squares. And while we don’t mind the occasional appearance of a brand name or logo, this one is working our nerves. It’s subtle, but once you see it, you’re annoyed by how much of it there is. One thing’s for sure: the design would be improved by removing most of the lettering. Still, it may be one of the more glamorous and high-fashion looks we’ve seen her wear in some time. You tell us:
