And just like that, Melissa McCarthy figured out her red carpet style. We could offer conjecture as to why these looks represent the best red carpet streak of her career, but we’d rather just appreciate the results.

One of the great things about this collection of looks from the past few days is how much she’s learned how to switch things up a bit. That’s a really good tool for any celebrity to have while they’re in promo mode. You get more attention from the press and the public if you give them something new to look at every time you step out. While this isn’t the most fashion-forward of looks, it doesn’t have to be. It’s pretty and glamorous and on-point for the occasion. The fit’s great and the color sings on her. If she stepped out in two more version of this look, however, we’d have complained she was in a rut. This is a good look to have nailed down, but it shouldn’t be the only one.

Love this for being boldly colorful and stylish while working in a more casual-dressy mode. Those shoes are very much on trend, but we can’t say we love them.

This is just straight-up fabulous. Lady, you need to work this look into the rotation more. We’re not convinced that’s the best jacket for it and we wish the pinning of the bustline had been executed just a bit more carefully, but it’s a really strong, fun, disco-chic look for her. Great color too. We’d have recommended a half-inch off the hem and some platform heels if she could stand them. We need to see a little bit of toe peeking out.
Her makeup’s a little off in all three looks, isn’t it?
