Miss Keira’s out there this week, doing the damn work. And if we noted a distinct turn away from her usual heavily romantic styles of late, it seems like she’s trying to find ways to integrate it into more modern, more practical looks, to varying effect. Let’s get loudly judgmental and uncomfortably close, shall we?

This is perhaps not the freshest look or styled to the utmost high-fashion chicness. If anything, it’s got a rather appealling real-world quality to it. This looks like the kind of ensemble countless women would choose to wear to some form of dressy but not formal event. On that level, it makes really good relatable and aspirational fashion. If we sound ambivalent it’s because we don’t love the print or the black pumps, but the jacket is fantastic and the idea is sound. She looks good.

Girl what is this even. You look like you couldn’t decide on Colonel Sanders or I Dream of Jeannie cosplay tonight. The top half could be pretty cute, but the bottom half is all kinds of ass. Simply terrible. We’d almost rather see in another mumsy print than pants that dumb. We wonder if perhaps she doesn’t have quite the knack for picking really modern looks.

If nothing else, she certainly got good use out of those pumps. This strikes us a bit along the same lines of that B&W floral Erdem she wore the other day; a way of doing the kind of look she’s famous for while toning it down by removing all the colors. It’s pretty. Not nearly as striking as the Erdem, but it’s got a sort of ghostly quality to it that goes well with the design.
