If we’re being perfectly honest, we haven’t yet been fully convinced on his casting as Freddie Mercury for the upcoming Bohemian Rhapsody. There’s not enough evidence for us to articulate our feelings on it, but let’s just say we’re a little nervous about his ability to pull off a personality that large and expressive. We would be overjoyed to find out our fears are meritless and we’re willing to wait and be convinced.
Anyway, that snotty little aside is mere prelude to our main point, which is this: regardless of whether we’re going to love the film and/or his portrayal of a legend, we cannot WAIT to see him in full poledance mode. Just look at this adorableness:
Not just adorable; fabulously chic to boot. We don’t know any other male star who could make this look as good as he’s doing. He’s smart about leaning into the more offbeat menswear styles to which he’s so well-suited. Given the glam styles evident in the film’s costumes, we’re just tickled pink at the idea of him unleashing a taste of that on the red carpet. More, please.
