Nicki brings it all with her to the Versace show. This is appropriate and expected, both for her and the venue. After all, if Luke Evans can show up to this show looking like the new gay villain on the next season of Claws, then Miss Nicki should be applauded for her “I own everything” approach.
Here’s the thing about that: We definitely wouldn’t suggest that she needs to stick to the styling from the runway, but that top really does seem like too much for the look, especially paired with the (totally on point, it has to be said – it’s a Versace show, after all) jewelry. We actually like the gloves and the … whatever she’s got going on on her head, which kind of looks like a totally Little Edie Beale-style combo of a newsboy cap and silk scarf. But none of these items – headgear, gloves, skirt – really go together or do anything for the others. Like we said, bring all the loud and clashy Versace you can handle to the front row. It’s not a time or place for tasteful coordinating; we get that. Even so, Ms. Girl may have taken things just a skosh too far this time.
