Kittens, we’re afraid our second attempt at a here’s-something-pretty post has arrived at the same set of issues as our first. On the one hand, you put Henry Golding in a red Armani velvet tuxedo and you’re pretty much set up for a win. On the other hand, this makes a good reminder that in the world of red carpetry, there’s no such thing as a sure thing, even when you’re putting internationally famous beautiful people in some of the highest-quality menswear to be found on earth:
Henry. This is not the way.
He seems to be going for a rakish, Clark Gable sort of take on movie stardom, but we don’t think that’s where his style strengths lie. This tux could look amazing on him, but he’s the kind of guy who needs to button it up and wear it properly, tie included. He’s also the kind of guy who looks drop-dead gorgeous when his grooming is kept perfect. The stubble isn’t doing a thing for him.
