Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn Close an Era at the 2018 Creative Arts Emmy Awards

Posted on September 11, 2018

Darlings, let’s all take one last, loving look as Heidi and Tim attend their final Emmy awards as cast members of a nominated show.

Yes, we’re being total bitches. If you haven’t heard, they both announced last week that they will not be returning to Project Runway and that they’ll be launching a new reality show/shopping experience through Amazon. On the one hand, we can’t blame either of them for wanting to move on, since the show’s been limping along for years and Tim in particular has been vocal about his unhappiness. On the other hand, as much as we wish them well (especially Tim), we think the bare-bones information about their new show makes it sound kind of awful, with a focus on retail rather than runway. Think of every bad Heidi fashion line challenge in PR history. It’s too early for us to pan it, but integrating the competition with Amazon’s fashion sales sounds like a recipe for blandly inoffensive clothing and challenges. We’ll have to see, but we’re not feeling this news all that much. As for our thoughts on the future of Project Runway, you’ll have to wait until this week’s podcast to hear what we think.

Anyway, they look great. Heidi’s wearing one of our least-favorite colors ever and it looks great on her. The random sheer patches on the skirt are kind of annoying, though.
