Glamour x Tory Burch “Women to Watch” Lunch Red Carpet Rundown

Posted on September 20, 2018

Darlings, is it a coincidence that the Women To Watch also happened to be a fairly stylish bunch for this event? Or do you think the Tory Burch folks did a lot of them up right? Some of these looks are super-cute and it makes us wonder why Burch isn’t more of a red carpet/promo presence among the ladystar set.

Alison Brie

Having said that, this is perhaps not the best example to open with. We like her in retro looks and we think the basic idea here could be cute on her, but it really does look like she borrowed her grandmother’s dress for luncheon. It’s too literal and not freshened up enough.

Betty Gilpin

It’s a bit too tight in the bust and we’re not in love with the sleeve length, but this is the best she’s looked in a long while.

Busy Philipps

A-freaking-dorable look.

Chrissy Metz

The color looks great, but the skirt looks like it’s growing a fabric fungus and the floaty little sleeves look unresolved and oddly placed.

Ellie Kemper

That skirt doesn’t seem to have anything to do with any of the other pieces she’s wearing.

Issa Rae

Another slightly odd and distracting skirt element. A shame, because the rest of it looks great on her.

Madelaine Petsch

The pieces are cute, but again, they feel a little randomly paired up.

Natalia Dyer

Samira Wiley

REALLY cute.

Tracee Ellis Ross

Cute because it’s her. She can make the slightly goofy come off more stylish than it is. The skirt’s great, but the top is amazingly unflattering.
