Emmys 2018: Tracee Ellis Ross Goes There in Valentino Couture

Posted on September 19, 2018

Sometimes you’ve just gotta sit back and respect a lady’s commitment.

Is this a comforter? Does she look like like she’s struggling to emerge from a giant wad of bubble gum in which she has become inexplicably entrapped? Do you get the impression she literally has to hold the bust in her hands all night, lest it flop to her waist and leave her susceptible to a chest cold? The answer to all of these questions may possibly be “yes,” but we still have to love this. It’s not practical and it’s not necessarily elegant (a bit too lacking in subtlety for that, we think), but it’s insanely bold and eye-catching. It’s Vogue-cover chicness that she’s particularly adept at handling. In fact, outside of Gaga, we can’t think of one other celebrity woman who could pull this off as effectively as she has.
