Verbatim T Lo Scrolldown Response: “OH HOLY SHIT” “No. Stop this. Absolutely not.”
We don’t like the skirt, is what we’re trying to convey here. We declared our simmering, longstanding dislike of the tulip skirt all the way back when we were blogging season 3 of Project Runway and we’ve strictly maintained our stance ever since, allowing only for exception that hit below the knee. Tulip minis are silly. There. We said it.
And it looks worse paired with that ’80s bridesmaid bodice. The shoes were an admirable attempt to distract from all the wonky proportions up top, but only because they kinda clash.

That trim looks like candy corn. Or maybe we’re just craving candy corn. Either way, it’s a harsh element against the softness of the design. We came close to liking parts of this, but the peachy pink color was impossible for us to get past. Edit the trim and render the rest of it in a pale blue (which admittedly, she’s been wearing a lot of lately) and we’ll talk.
