If you’re the sort of astute and erudite person who catalogs our every utterance as if they were pearls of universal wisdom – And why wouldn’t you be, darlings? – you no doubt have noticed that we can get pretty lacist in our thinking. Step out in a black lace dress and we’ll call you a widow. Step out in a white lace one and we’ll call you a bride. We are as God made us, kittens. We can’t change our nature. We’re just not easily sold on black or white lace frocks.
But we’ll give Miss Tracee credit here. She almost convinced us.
We kinda hate the sheer parts and the lined parts don’t look great in that beige color. Granted, if we try and picture it fully lined in white, it sure does look bridal in our mind’s eye. On the other hand, it’s got a cute shape to it and the downplayed makeup and cute-but-informal hair make it feel more like a summer party dress. Tell you what: We’d probably love this completely if the lace was in a pretty, flattering color.
Still, she’s so charming and cute that we almost bought it.
