Look, we get that a dancin’ gal at the Industry Dance Awards would be fixing to hit that red carpet in something dramatic, costumey, maybe a little tacky, and with a decent amount of upper thigh exposure. It is the dancer’s way, darlings. Even so, we’re having a little trouble coming to terms with this one:
Girl, that’s just cray. Worse, it’s cray without a payoff. Like we said, it’s the right time and place to be wearing something showy; something with a little bit of movement and stem action. But that floaty muppet fringe doesn’t exactly move with the body and the tightness of it all leaves little room for any other sort of movement. And everything looks so haphazardly placed. Neither the fringe placement nor the cutout do anything for her shape or anything for the look of the dress. It feels random and oddly restrictive somehow; probably because it gives the impression she’s busting out of it. Just an all-around weird choice for a night when she could’ve gotten away with so many other, more appropriate weird choices.
