We absolutely LOVE this. We thought about being coy and trying to find elements to discuss, question or critique, but there’s no point, really. She looks awesome and she looks like she knows it.
But because we are Very Important and Learned Scholars of Red Carpetry, we will, in fact, have a few points to make.
First point: She is sporting head-to-toe Versace from the same collection. Worse, she is sporting a huge brand name on her person. Twice, even. This is a thing we tend to hate, but we find ourselves somewhat unfairly waving them away as concerns. As we noted once before, she dips slightly into dressing like her character from Crazy Rich Asians would: loudly and dripping with labels. And besides, it all looks so great on her we just can’t seem to get het up about it.
Second point: We actually like the look book version of the dress better, with the bell sleeves, although we can understand why any non-model women might opt for less volume where she can find it.
Third point: The seaming in the skirt: Masterful or distracting? You make the call!
