We get the impression she’s something of a “Just throw a dress on me and I’m good to go” kind of gal. It would explain this look, that’s for sure:
It’s just a lot of dress without a lot of payoff to it, if that makes any sense. Like, for all the drama you’d expect from giant vertical ruffles and a cape, it all comes off kind of shapeless and weird in reality. We admit, we can’t really conceive of a styling plan that would help set such a goofy design off, but literally everything else feels a bit perfunctory, from the shoe choice to the hairstyle. The mani/pedi is nice, and might be an indication that some high-contrast black accents might’ve helped this dress along. But we have to be honest: you’d have to pull of some sort of major styling miracle to get us to love a satin cape with vertical ruffles on anyone but a magician, a drag queen, or a magician drag queen.
