Darlings one of those rare-as-an-eclipse red carpet moments has occured. The boys showed up to a premiere dressed better than the girls. Which really isn’t saying much, because those fellas were pretty damn dull to begin with.
But LADIES. WHAT is going ON here?
You are both far too fabulous for this generic nonsense.
Mila Kunis in Valentino
We’ll say the same thing we said when we saw her co-star Sam’s suit: If you’ve got a pile of Valentino to pick from, why pick this? The bust is terribly unflattering on her and the rest of it is just plain and dull. And we honestly can’t tell what the goal was with that hairstyle, but whatever it was, whether they achieved it or not, we don’t like the results for her. Such an odd and unflattering look, top to bottom.
Kate McKinnon in Max Mara
To be fair, Kate’s doing a lot better on the style front than Mila did. We don’t love the sheer sleeves or the pleated pants, but the general style suits her and the fit is pretty flattering. It’s not great, but it’s not terrible. That’s fairly faint praise, we know. Admittedly, she’s not a high-fashion or high-fuss gal, which is why this mostly works for her. The style is right, but the details aren’t doing anything for her.
