Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon at “The Spy Who Dumped Me” New York Special Screening

Posted on July 30, 2018

Any time a male co-star shows up to the same event looking like he’s on a fourth date, we feel a little bad critiquing the clearly more elaborate efforts of the ladystars at any premiere. But we’re sorry, ladies.

This is all gonna need some addressing.

The more we look at it, however, the more we think a pale linen, wide-legged jumpsuit could be a chic and sort of fabulous thing to wear to a screening, provided it was styled correctly, of course. Oh, and provided the designer of said jumpsuit didn’t completely lose track of themselves in the process somehow.

There’s just too much going on here, and a lot of it’s not good. The entire bodice is simply awful. It sits way too low on her and it’s overdesigned. Also: ugly. It literally looks like her bust is deflating and the whole thing’s about to slide right off her.

The bottom half has possibilities, but they can’t be addressed while the action upstairs is going on.

Also: her hair and makeup is harsh and a bit aging, we have to say. Miss Girl, it’s time for a head-to-toe rethink.

All things considered, this isn’t bad. We were so overwhelmed by the badness of Mila’s look that we just sort of assumed that Kate’s was equally as terrible. Let this be an important style lesson to you, darlings. If you’re at a thing with a friend and you think you really look cute but you secretly think she’s wearing ass, you are fully permitted to move away from her if people start taking pictures. Why let someone else’s style misfortunes ruin your hard efforts, right?

Anyway, this all works, but the neckline could be a little cleaner. The shoes are cute but we’re not sure this is the best use of them. There’s a bit of a “my cousin’s wedding” vibe to it, but considering her co-star’s style efforts, she’s doing okay.
