Living the Life in Beige.
Hmm.
We wish we could say we like this, but it’s not working for us. On the one hand, the style is kind of a fresh take for a royal – in theory. But July seems like an odd time to break out a dress that’s simply a trench coat with the sleeves removed. We may have gotten behind this design a little more if it had shown some variation or interpretation of the form, but it’s literally a sleeveless trench coat, which means it’s a little too long, a little too fussy around the collar and yoke, and a little too shapeless to work as a day dress. Hem it to the knee and switch the accessories to black (we CAN’T EVEN with all the silly putty we’re looking at here) and this might work a little better.
