Heidi Klum in Vilshenko Out and About in NYC

Posted on July 02, 2018

As with so many Boho Style aficionados, Miss Heidi instinctively understands that a good look is way more than the sum of its parts. Here she is, helpfully demonstrating while also probably conducting a business call regarding some heretofore unannounced off-shoot of her media and merchandise empire. Or maybe she’s just telling her driver to pull around. Either way, consider…

Because look: That print? Ugly. That bag? Not really right for her or for the dress. The belt? TERRIBLE idea. The color story? A big ol’ set of nothing. Any sense of coordination or effort? Non-existent. That mani sure as hell wasn’t planned for this ensemble. No, it all looks mumsy, unflattering and thrown-together if you really try to break it down and get all analytical about it.

But godDAMN, you zhuzh that woman’s hair, put her in some aviator shades, sandals and a caftan, and she can work a hot New York City sidewalk like no one else. To quote Samantha Jones in the only episode of Sex and the City featuring Heidi herself, “Oh, honey. You’re a model.”

It’s also what we say to each other when we’re leaving the house and need an outfit check from the other one before we go.
