The red carpetry here is barely discussable (except Miss Alexis’ offering, which is surprisingly strong), so please take this opportunity to talk all about a show we’re not currently caught up on and find a bit too depressing to deal with at the moment.
The ladytux is a bit played out on the red carpet, but it’s a style for which she’s particularly well-suited. Unfortunately, that’s a shitty-looking jacket, the bustier doesn’t suit her at all, and the hem length on the pants is not great.
We get the impression this dress is yanking her in a bunch of different directions at once. She’s done the pattern-mixing enough times before that we’re pretty sure it’s her thing, but the design here is distractingly askew with too many elements to it. You could make these three prints work together, but we think the dress needs to be a lot simpler to pull it off.
And the slides look awful with it.
Miss Samira deployed the K.I.S.S. Principle and it paid off perfectly for her. A venue like this, at this time of year calls for basic, flattering day looks without too much fuss or embellishment. She’s working the three Cs: Comfy, Confident, and Cute.
