“POSE” Star Billy Porter WERQs at the Broadway Opening Night for “Head Over Heels”

Posted on July 27, 2018

And now, another entry in our ongoing series “T Lo’s Self-Care Files,” in which we urge all kittens to take a moment from the stresses of their day to look at a beautiful man for a moment or two.

Mr. Billy, please step your fabulous self into the viewing circle.

We are, at the moment of this post being published, currently recording this week’s podcast, in which we wax rhapsodic about the season finale of POSE and specifically Billy’s performance, which anchors the entire show and season, as far as we’re concerned. Without pulling too much focus from the transgender performers the show is intended to spotlight, Porter’s witty, funny, heartbreakingly tender performance as Pray Tell is one of the great un-mentioneds of this year’s crop of television. No single performer on a show has made us laugh AND cry as hard as he did.

AND OHMIGOD BITCHES HE IS SERVING HIS FIERCENESS ON A SILVER PLATTER HERE. WERQ, BITCH!

For real, we absolutely adore this look. We don’t think the aviators really go and we’re not fans of shades on red carpets anyway, but the lighting sitch looks particularly harsh and we have to admit, there’s a nice play of masculine and feminine when they’re paired with the dress. Just a fiercely fabulous lewk that deserves a moment in the spotlight.
