If it isn’t clear by now, allow us to declare: this was the best Tonys red carpet we’ve ever covered. It’s interesting how it’s evolved over the last decade-plus. There was a time when the Tonys RC couldn’t compare to things like the Oscars or even a big-budget film premiere. But as more and more household-name celebrities from TV and film made their tour of the Broadway boards, the fashion industry heeded the call and started insisting on their availability to the attendees at the same level they usually do for other industry awards shows, from the Emmys to the Grammys. And we could only make assumptions as to why this is the case (mostly, the “respectability” factor of theater work ingrained into the minds of actors coupled with the NY setting only blocks from the American fashion industry’s epicenter), many of the celebrities who make their way to the Tonys red carpet do not fail to treat it like the bring-your-A-game event it’s become.
In other words, we’re loving the lewks and Miss Tiffany, combined with Mr. Michael, managed to turn out one of our faves of the night:
We can admit that perhaps the fit could be adjusted a little and that the tightness through the hips gives it a … crotchy sort of effect that isn’t to its benefit. Also, a half-inch off the hem wouldn’t be a bad idea. Even so, it’s a silver paisley jumpsuit. It’s hard for us not to love it based on the description alone. And we can’t think of anyone better suited for this kind of disco-fabulous/fun look than her.
Just look at her:
Is there really any doubt that this woman’s feeling the shit out of herself right now?
