Lily Collins in Johanna Ortiz at the 2018 Cartier Queen’s Cup

Kittens, let’s take another break in our coverage of that three-ring fashion circus known as the MTV Awards, and go take a stroll through the opposite end of the style spectrum: Old-school English Horsey-Set Chic.

It’s Princess Royal Drag and she’s particularly well-suited to it. She’d have to be, in order to make this rather over-the-top display of old-fashioned romanticism actually work for her. As much as we tend to dislike big ruffles on skirts, we think the dress is working pretty well for her. Part of that comes down to her advanced ability to work this kind of style and part of it comes down to that print, which is bold and eye-catching. Unfortunately, she tied a bread basket to her head and that has ruined everything. Maybe we should just go back to the MTV Awards, where the cray makes more sense.
