Kittens, we are alternating between being intrigued and being delighted by the fact of these photos. We haven’t yet decided on which response is best, but it’ll come down to whether or not we can tamp down on our natural cynicism. But first, matters of fashion:
They both look pretty great, actually. For a while there, Tim’s on-air ensembles had gotten a little louder and more colorful than tended to suit him, in our opinion. Not that the man should be doomed to a life of business-like suiting, but he’s definitely better off not chasing trends. This strikes a balance nicely for him. As for the Heidster, she always had pretty great street style, especially when she keeps her choices real-world covetable and not runway-ready. This jumpsuit looks great, but we question the super-matchy bag and shades.
Okay, so we think we’re going to settle on “intrigued” here. This sort of appearance, when the next season of Project Runway is still in its casting stage, is a little showy. Which makes us wonder just how hard Bravo is going to be selling this show after years of it being on Lifetime, which had taken a slightly more perfunctory approach to marketing it in recent seasons. Since these two still make a charming duo (although we hold no illusions that they’re intimate friends who see each other all the time), we propose that Bravo keep sending them out on little day trips all over the city. They can bring Andy along! The Housewives can stay home, however.
Next point: No Nina or Zac anywhere to be seen. That’s not really all that notable, but Nina’s status is a lot higher now as EIC of ELLE, which makes us fearful she doesn’t have the time for the show anymore. And Zac came on after the show went to Lifetime, which makes us wonder if Bravo is inclined to keep him as the designer judge. Discuss amongst yourselves, PR fans.
