Drag Race Finalists Kameron Michaels, Aquaria, Eureka O’Hara and HIGH DRAMA QUEEN Asia O’Hara at the VH1 Trailblazer Honors

Posted on June 22, 2018

Fast on the heels of getting our HIGHLY critical podcast recap of last night’s Drag Race reunion posted, we knew we had to get these shots of the girls up posthaste. Not just because they’re fab and all, but because Miss Asia O’Hara is operating at Melania levels of message-sending through her fashion.

Kameron Michaels

This isn’t too much of a criticism, because she is a drag queen after all, but Kameron’s makeup is too harsh for the red carpet. High-level queens know how to navigate the line separating stage makeup from photography makeup. Her look’s fine, but kind of basic.

Aquaria

As in so many other areas of Drag Race and the kind of spotlight it can grant you, Miss Aquaria knows the score. Don’t show up on a red carpet in some pretty party dress and stage makeup. Show up in something eye-popping that no one else would even consider wearing, while serving FACEFACEFACE.

Eureka

This is a great look, but it’s so close to how she’s presented herself on the show so many times that it feels a little repetitive. Again: Aquaria did this right. You can tell it’s her, but it’s not reminiscent of anything else you saw her wear.

Asia O’Hara

GURL.

We have to admit, we are damn impressed with her sense of drama, as well as her ability to make her drag mean something. Knowing that these pictures would hit the internet after the reunion episode aired, in which she melted down and then got shut down by Ru, in a clash of ideologies and personalities for the very SOUL OF DRAG. We are only exagerrating a little bit and you should listen to our podcast for the rest of the details. Regardless, the point is, Miss Asia O’Hara is your SILENCED, FACELESS MARTYR QUEEN and you better respect the SHIT out of that kind of boldness. Ru would NEVER.
