Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston at the American Film Institute’s 2018 Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute

Courteney and Jen continue their “She don’t need a man” tour of the world’s red carpets, coming out to support their former Must-See TV cohort as he picks up his latest award. But we’ll be honest, if you’ve come for the fashion commentary we’re afraid there’s not gonna be much. They basically came dressed like a couple of bridesmaids in a really chic wedding:

Courteney Cox in Roland Mouret

Jennifer Aniston in Christian Lacroix Couture

Honestly? They look pretty spectacular, even if they gowns aren’t particularly notable. Then again, the fact that they both pulled off chic is fairly notable in itself, given their red carpet history. This is them, playing in the high fashion pool but sticking with the kinds of low-key lack of fussiness they’ve both always preferred. One minor point of interest is the ruching, seaming and pleating they’re sporting. Neither of them go for much in the way of detailing, but in both cases, these minor elements make a big difference and keep each design from looking generic. Well done, ladies.
